Watched Don't Look Up on Netflix before crashing out this morning and I gotta say. Satire's best when satire doesn't hit quite so close to trufax reality and these days I could just see that shit happening. Man, fuck politicians who ignore scientists and hard data.

The absolute worst was when I'd go find some ridiculous National Enquirer type shit, and then my old boss would be like 'oh yeah, that shit happened, I've met the luchador nun'.

Mostly I'm pissed because I feel like I should've really enjoyed the movie but I'm ambivalent because it made me feel Real Things (frustration, annoyance, vague hopelessness) about Real Life and that's not why I watch movies. See: Tremors, Sharknado, etc.
